Shadow's Play
(Prolouge)

Pale blue eyes met equally blue ones across the distance between them. He hated the way that Belmont stared at him. It made him think he knew everything that went on in his head, and he despised it.
Walking across the stone and crimson carpeted floor, the Belmont’s boots reverberated against the walls and rang in his head. Making his way across the room…to him. They were equally matched. Slowly a lazy thought crawled into his mind as he wondered why the man had come to his doom once again. “ ‘Tis a pleasure to see you again, Trevor, may I assure you.”
The man’s scared eyebrow rose, “I am sure.” The grip on his whip tightening was the only subtle sign that the Belmont was nervous. The redhead took this as a good omen. “But I must ask,” He teased, alluringly, eyes narrowing “Why did you come?”
Trevor shrugged nonchalantly, eyes losing his to scan around the old, dusty once-ballroom. Why the sardonic redhead had called him here, he was not quite sure. But he had a hunch it had to do with two days ago…A cough from the stairs turned Trevor’s all-knowing eyes back to the man. “I wanted to find something out for myself.” He answered after a while in the stifling silence, answer unclear to its true meaning.
“Ahhh, I see. How amusing, though” He chuckled lowly in the semi-dark. The only source of light in here was through the cracks in the boarded-up windows. “We seemed to have the same purpose for being here today.” Sardonic lips curled into a tantalizing smile, and Trevor could feel the sexual tension between them thickly and present.
“As you wish, Isaac.” He answered, turning up to him with challenge in his eyes.
